This is a response to Amory Lovins' estimate on energy savings regarding new appliances. The author believes that Lovins estimates were all exaggerated and the amount of savings wouldn't be near what he claimed there were. He believes that Lovins can't clearly link the energy savings to the new appliances. He then does his own research and comes to the conclusion that new appliances save energy but not as much as Lovins has claimed.
It is interesting to read this because it is important to remember that not everything written about a specific is topic is correct. Even if the source is reliable their research and ideas may be flawed.

That's cool that new appliances do save some energy though. I've never thought about that! Good to keep in mind too that they aren't always correct.
